I met Travis on May 27, 2007. He was DJ'ing that night where my girlfriends and I were celebrating my birthday. Having known my brothers, Blaine and Brandon from ten years prior it came as a surprise to Travis that they had a sister. Meeting Travis was one of those significant moments that I felt was just the beginning of something greater to come. I knew that Travis and I would cross paths again, and again we did. He and I kept bumping into eachother throughout town. Not too long after I met Travis I moved to Portland to pursue a job opportunity but even with the distance between us he and I still managed to check in on eachother from time to time. It wasn't until eight months after he and I met on May 27th that we actually had our first date. It was that night that I knew the rest was history, I had truly met my lifelong match.
Travis and I came together seamlessly. We fell head over heels in love with eachother; nothing had ever felt so right and made so much sense. Travis is my best friend, my biggest fan and the one that I love so passionately. Travis and I have been through the most amazing and most trying times that this life has to offer. What I cherish most about him is that he has an unwavering ability to always make my day brighter. And even after all this time we still finish eachothers sentences which always leads to the perpetual "jinx"! Our relationship truly is a blessed one.
I was born and raised in Washington state. I lived a short stint in Leavenworth, Kansas as my father was stationed there. We came back as I was entering the 2nd grade. That year I won a contest for designing my school's logo. For most of my life I have pursued art in one form or another. I also spent a great deal of time on the soccer fields, baseball fields, pool tables, tennis courts, ski slopes and rolling around on my skateboard.
After completing high school and junior college, I focused on DJ'ing and creating music. I have had some amazing experiences opening for, and even playing along side, many great musicians such as Lee Oscar (WAR), Michael Shrieve (original Santana drummer), George Clinton and other original members of Parliament Funkadelic, Digital Underground, Aceyalone, Micheal White, Gil Scott-Heron, Krist Novoselic (Nirvana) and reggae legend Winston "Flames" Jarrett to name a few. I attempted a career in this arena for quite a few years until I realized I needed something more steady. I have been at Spenard Builders Supply for about 10 years now although plan on returning to school in the next year to finish out my bachelors degree. Career change is in my near future! I am excited!
Meeting Lara was truly a turning point in my life. She taught me so much about myself and who I am. She inspires, motivates and perseveres. She evokes and kindles my strengths and potentials. She is a very strong person, a fighter who will not give up. She is my rock.
Lara brightens my life. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning all over again whenever I think of her. I still get butterflies! I continue to check my phone 50 times a day to see if she left a txt msg. I race home from work everyday just so I can be close to her again, I have the tickets to prove it! She means the world to me. She makes me smile, she makes me laugh, she makes me proud, she is my best friend and she is the mother of my beautiful son. I love you Lara. You mean everything to me.

The best and most amazing little man in the world. He brings joy to all that know him! Nolan is what we are most proud of.
